We love weekends

THIS weekend in Hackney there is an all day party in a nightclub, drag show, and cooking demonstrations at Jamie Oliver's food festival outside Fifteen.

Food Revolution Day

Join Jamie Oliver outside his Fifteen restaurant for a street party and pick up some top foodie tips to show off to your friends. Plus see other live demonstrations from top-notch chefs and entertainers. 12noon-10pm. Free. Friday, 17 May.

Coppa Bar & BBQ Rooftop Opening

If you love the outdoors and great Italian food, then pop down to the opening of the Hothouse rooftop at Coppa Bar & BBQ. Open every weekend for the duration of the summer. Friday, 17 May.

Sorry I’m A Lady

Celebrating 10 years of international entertainment and cross-dressing with underground drag icon Holestar. Known as the best in the business with a killer voice to match, she showcases her first full-length solo show at Vogue Fabrics. £7/5. Friday 17 & Saturday, 18 May.

Novus Summer Vertigo Party

For a taster of what’s to come at this year’s Vertigo festival check out an all day and night party at Cargo. DJs include globally recognised Bella Saris and Novus’s very own Cris J. 4pm-5am. Free/£15. Saturday, 18 May.
