Video: Enjoy quality classical music at Sutton House

Supported by the National Trust, Sutton House offers classical music played by internationally renowned artists in Hackney.

The Homerton High Street Tudor house aims to provide high quality music at affordable prices in relaxed and pleasant surroundings.

Built in 1535 by a prominent courtier of Henry VIII, Sir Ralph Sadleir, Sutton House retains much of the atmosphere of a Tudor home despite some alterations by later occupants – including a sequence of merchants, Huguenot silkweavers and squatters.

Visitors can also tour the building before and after performances to discover oak-panelled rooms, original carved fireplaces and a courtyard.

For the performance timetable, visit Sutton House Music Society's website.
