Little Noise Sessions ukulele flashmob outside St John-at-Hackney Church

YOUNG and old alike are invited to attend a ‘KaraUke flashmob’ in the garden of St John-at-Hackney Church on Tuesday, 20 November.

Join local disability groups and Britain’s Got Talent stars Loveable Rogues for 30 minutes of karaoke with ukuleles from 4.45pm to 5.15pm behind St Augustine Tower.

The event has been organised by charity Mencap to promote its series of fundraising concerts, Little Noise Sessions, at St John-at-Hackney Church from 19 to 25 November.

Headline acts include Gary Barlow, Noah and the Whale, Olly Murs, the Maccabees, Richard Hawley and Amy Macdonald.

The mini music festival raises money to support people with learning disabilities.

Mencap is using social networks such as Twitter to publicise the flashmob. Olly Murs alone has 3million followers and the charity is confident it can attract a large crowd.

More info and tickets are available at the Little Noise Sessions website.
