FASHION label guru Rosie Wolfenden features among the many Hackney luminaries named on the 2013 New Year honours list.

The Stoke Newington resident and co-founder of jewellery maker Tatty Devine earned herself an MBE for services to fashion industry along with the firm’s co-founder Harriet Vine.

Their designs have been seen around the necks and wrists of Claudia Schiffer, Katy Perry, Noel Fielding and Mary Portas plus featured on TV shows including The X Factor.

Rosie said: “It’s incredibly exciting to be recognised for our achievements. We are very proud and honoured.”

Other Hackney people about to pick up a gong include Nancy Hallett, the former chief executive of Homerton hospital who receives a damehood; Rabbi Herschel Gluck, co-founder of the Muslim Jewish Forum in Stoke Newington, who gets an OBE; librarian Howard Rabin, set to collect an MBE; and retired accountant Alan Perry -  The Lion Club volunteer and chairman who routinely travels to the youth club from his Southend home - who will pocket a BEM.
