Fringe! Film Fest showcases four days of LGBT themed cinema

EAST London lesbian, gay and bisexual Fringe! Film Fest returns for a third outing of leftfield programming.

Taking place at Rio Cinema, Hackney Picturehouse, Aubin cinema, the old Cardinal Pole School building, Arcola Tent, Dalston Superstore and various pop-up venues around the borough, the festival offers an upbeat, innovative and audacious series of events.

Highlights include a premiere of Travis Mathews’ documentary about gay men and intimacy, ‘In The Room’; a screening of kitsch classic ‘Mean Girls’ with a Dalston Superstore after party; exhibition of the work of photographer and pornographer Bob Mizer; ‘Gays on TV’ lesbian special; and a back to school night hosted by London lesbian website The Most Cake.

Running over four days, there's a chance to see more than 20 films, and attend a dozen other events, arts exhibitions and parties which offer an indie alternative to the traditional festival circuit.

Fringe! Film Fest runs from 11 to 14 April.
