Video: Bank On It - an economics theatre show for children

BARBICAN steps outside its City of London home to put on a summer of arts events, pop-up performances and collaborations in Hackney and across East London.

The 'Beyond Barbican' programme features a major new interactive art installation in Dalston from Argentine artist Leano Erlich, live gigs and collaborations with schools and some of the borough's most popular free, annual events including Dance Nation Dalston in Gillett Square, and the Shoreditch Festival.

Taking place at the Rose Lipman Building in De Beauvoir, 'Bank On It' is an interactive promenade show for children where the audience is invited to explore a bank's secrets. It is co-commissioned by Create London in association with the economics department at the University of Warwick.

Guided by actors, puppeteers and some unexpected characters, they'll encounter an imaginary realm inspired by fantasy and folklore.

'Bank On It' runs at Rose Lipman Building, N1 5SQ, until 14 July. For more information visit the Barbican's website.
