Win tickets to comedy show 'Sink or Shpin'

FITNESS and comedy lovers alike can prepare for an evening of endorphin rushes and shortness of breath at Boom! Cycle this month.

Sink or Shpin claims to be the world’s first comedy that seats its audience on exercise bikes and it’s difficult to think of another show that gets its punters to workout, albeit marginally, while it entertains.

The story follows newly qualified spin instructor Clements (Donal Coonan), a man recovering from a failed marriage. Finding solace in exercise with his beloved bike, Brigitte, Clements' internal rage eventually bubbles to the surface.

Bikes are pivotal to the show, but Bradley Wiggins-style lungs are unnecessary – instructor Clements ‘is not in his prime’ so wheezing should come more from laughter than the result of pumping legs. The show won rave reviews at Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year and on BBC2’s The Culture Show.

Sink or Shpin runs at Boom! Cycle, 2-8 Scrutton Street, EC2A 4RT 10-27 October. Tickets cost £10. For more info, visit: www.sinkorshpin.co.uk; or call: 020 7478 0100.
