Clapton & Homerton

CLAPTON and Homerton are areas on the up, with new coffee shops, pubs and restaurants opening alongside traditional grocers and bakeries.

A view from Clapton Pond

Combined with tranquil green spaces, quiet leafy streets, and a thriving weekly market and it’s easy to see why people love this part of East London.

Chatsworth Road now boasts a vibrant Sunday market, selling a wide range of food and drink, vintage furniture and clothing, while the surrounding high street offers further shopping opportunities with everything from plants and flowers, to children’s books and stationary. Head down the road towards Homerton and discover Chat’s Palace, a community arts space hosting music, cabaret, theatre and dance performances.

There are also a number of friendly local pubs - to relax after work or while away the weekend - from the Elderfield to the Clapton Hart.

The River Lea runs through Millfields Park towards Hackney Marshes, Springfield Park, Walthamstow Marshes and the Lee Valley Park, linking this bustling neighbourhood to some of the most beautiful and natural green space in the capital.

Chatsworth Road Market

SINCE its rejuvenation in 2010, Chatsworth Road Market has been going from strength to strength. This weekly market provides more choice for local residents and is fast becoming a popular place to shop and visit.
