Hackney Downs

HACKNEY Downs first opened as a public park in 1884 and has Keep Britain Tidy Green Flag status, which recognises the best green spaces in the country.

Major improvement works mean that the park now boasts flood-lit tennis courts, resurfaced basketball courts, a football pitch, changing rooms, community room, multi-use games area and it even hosts the odd bike polo tournament.
